When the words “Classical Music” are uttered what immediately comes to mind are composers the likes of Back and Beethoven, but for those in that are a little more familiar with classical music, this genre has much more depth and history than many other musical styles; a music type that dates many centuries, enjoyed by millions from across the globe.
Did you know that the actual term “Classical Music” did not appear until the early 19th Century? This terminology was used to sanctify the period included composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach with the period being referred to as the Golden Age.
Most interesting is that although many classical music styles lend themselves to songs, classical music is most commonly thought of in terms of instrumental music such as sonatas, opera, concerto and others.
Classical music is an art form which was produced and deeply rooted in the traditions and culture of Western music.
